Chunky Monkey Smoothie Bowl
A classic with a twist! For those who adore chocolate peanut butter, its cousin, cashew, won’t disappoint. This comforting smoothie bowl blends protein, carbs, and healthy fats, keeping you satisfied for hours.
Whether for breakfast or a healthy dessert, you'll love this easy-to-make bowl as much as ice cream—especially when topped with your favorite granola. I love homemade granola, so I made this batch, and it turned out delicious!
There are a few secrets to making smoothie bowls at home taste as good as your favorite smoothie shop. The first, and it might sound obvious, is to use frozen ingredients. Some people use ice instead, but it can be tricky as the result may turn into a watery smoothie bowl, and we definitely don't want that.
The second secret is to use way less liquid than you would for a regular smoothie. If you have a high-powered blender, blending on low speed can help ensure a silky and smooth consistency. Blend on low and scrape down the sides until you reach the consistency of soft serve. Also, smoothie bowls wouldn't be the same without your favorite toppings – think granola, nuts, seeds, fresh fruits, and even some chocolate chips are allowed here!
The combination of a crunchy topping and a creamy, silky texture is so satisfying that you'll be wondering why you didn't add homemade smoothie bowls to your life choices sooner.
