Some people use ice instead, but it can be tricky as the result may turn into a watery smoothie bowl, and we definitely don't want that.

The second secret is to use way less liquid than you would for a regular smoothie. If you have a high-powered blender, blending on low speed can help ensure a silky and smooth consistency. Blend on low and scrape down the sides until you reach the consistency of soft serve. Also, smoothie bowls wouldn't be the same without your favorite toppings – think granola, nuts, seeds, fresh fruits, and even some chocolate chips are allowed here!

— 1 tbsp cacao powder

— 1/4 tsp cinnamon

— 1 tsp flaxseeds (optional)

— 1 scoop Chocolate Essentials Shake

— 1 tbsp cashew butter

— 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

— 1/4 cup unsweetened nut milk of choice (*)

*begin with 1/4 cup, and if it's too difficult to blend, gradually add more liquid. You don't want to end up with a smoothie instead.
