Cacao Mint Smoothie

The combination of cacao and mint is very tasty! Drink this smoothie in the morning to start your day off refreshed and invigorated.

Whether you're refueling after an intense workout session or looking for a meal with energy to last several hours — this smoothie is a great option.

The best thing about smoothies is how easily you can adapt them to your taste. Add in what you love and leave it out what you don't. If you're not a fan of mint or don't have it on hand, you can still enjoy this smoothie.

The banana makes this shake quite filling. You can choose frozen bananas or zucchinis for a low-carb option or a combination of both.

I prefer smoothies with a combination of fruits and vegetables. So, it's slightly less sweet than using only bananas, and you get the benefit of more veggies you consume throughout the day.

WHAT YOU NEED

— 1/2 cup frozen white or green zucchini

— 1/2 small ripe frozen banana

— 1 scoop Chocolate Essentials Shake

— 1 tbsp cashew butter

— 1 tsp cacao powder

— 1 tbsp cacao nibs

— A few fresh mint leaves

— 1 cup unsweetened flaxseed milk(*)

*OR 1 cup unsweetened nut milk of your choice and 1/2 cold filtered water
