Strawberry & Banana Smoothie
A classic strawberry-banana smoothie couldn’t be out of our smoothie recipes collection. The secret here to a creamy smoothie is to use frozen bananas!
If it’s summer, you should definitely check out your local Farmer’s Market on the weekends and get some organic strawberries for this smoothie.
This refreshing smoothie is one way you can beat the heat while enjoying fresh summer fruit.
This smoothie will have a stronger strawberry flavor if you use fruit in season. Otherwise, frozen strawberries will work too.
A note on frozen fruit: they’re often picked at the peak of freshness and freezing them doesn’t compromise their nutrient density.
I suggested cashew butter that has a mild flavor (so you can really taste the strawberry) compared to peanut or almond butter but feel free to use whatever you have on hand, all of them will work just fine.
Also, you can swipe up the flaxseed milk for any you have at home. That’s a delicious 5-minute breakfast, and no excuse to skip it ;)
