PB, Cacao & Banana Smoothie

Sometimes you just need a little pick-me-up and if that happens in the middle of the day, skip the idea of reaching “anything sweet” and make this creamy and incredibly satisfying smoothie.

One of my favorite flavor combinations is chocolate, peanut butter and banana! This recipe has been my go-to when I want something quick and made with simple ingredients. The best part is that it's naturally sweetened with banana.

Chances are that you have all of these pantry staples on hand already, so you’re free to enjoy this easy chocolate & peanut butter smoothie whenever you’re in the mood for it. And you can call it a snack at any time!

Cacao is rich in antioxidants, iron and magnesium. If you haven't tried cacao nibs before, they are cacao beans that have been chopped into small pieces. They're not sweet, but they give this smoothie a nice little crunch. You can also choose to use a crunchy peanut butter instead, just make sure you add it after all the ingredients have been blended, then you add peanut butter and press "pulse" a few times.
