Chris and I love smoothies for breakfast or after a workout —and this summer berries smoothie is one of our all-time favorites!

You can customize it to your taste if you want. It’s the perfect balance between creamy and fruity and so refreshing!

Berries are one of the best smoothie ingredients because they add fruity flavor, fiber, and beautiful color. They are also low in sugar compared to other fruits.

This Summer Berry smoothie has three kinds of frozen berries, banana and yogurt. The yogurt adds the perfect amount of creaminess to this sweet smoothie and really makes the berry flavor shine.

This smoothie, in particular, tastes incredible with yogurt. There are a few great plant-based options. My favorite is greek-style coconut yogurt.

WHAT YOU NEED

— 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, raspberries, and cherries

— 1/2 small ripe frozen banana

— 1 scoop Vanilla Essentials Shake

— 1 tbsp cashew butter

— 1/4 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract (optional)

— 1 cup yogurt of your choice (*)

— 1/2 cup unsweetened nut milk of your choice

*OR 1 cup unsweetened nut milk of your choice and 1/2 cold filtered water
