This Salted Caramel smoothie is ideal when you're craving something that has a little bit of a dessert kinda vibe.

Dates have a natural caramel-y flavor. I'm using the flavor profile from dates to bring this healthy version to life.

This creamy and delicious salted caramel smoothie is like breakfast and dessert all in one!

There are many different kinds of dates. Make sure to use Medjool dates. I'm a huge fan of Medjool dates. These dates are larger, softer, and have a natural caramel-like flavor — much more than the other varieties of dates.

If your dates aren't soft, soak them in hot water for 5 minutes. If you've ever had caramel gelato, it tastes like that! With a generous sprinkling of sea salt flakes, of course.
